A robot to watch at CES 2007 - NIKKO ‘R2D2’
LAS VEGAS, USA (AVING Special Report on 'CES 2007') -- <Visual News> NIKKO ‘R2D2’ is one of the robots to watch together with Honda’s ASIMO during CES 2007 according to robot specialists attending the trade show. The R2D2 can move from left to right and stand up and down by himself thanks to its three wheels while its web camera with CMOS sensor enables him to monitor a certain place and transmit the recorded video file to a remote place. He can also give an alarm or warning; so, it could be used as a security robot in many areas.
